SCHOOL OF POLISH CULTURE. STUDY VISITS

Aim

The School of Polish Culture program aims at creation and development of a
macro-regional initiative addressed to European communities and building a platform
of cooperation between countries whose common, shared history has not always been
very easy.



The School of Polish Culture will focus on Polish contemporary art – film/visual
arts, literature, and theatre/performance – its condition, modern methods of
managing art institutions, and also on cooperation between cultural institutions and
business. A range of meetings with Polish artists, young professionals, journalists,
managers, and academic experts from Krakow and the Malopolska Region will also take
place within the framework of the School.



Participants

The School of Polish Culture is addressed to young professionals from Ukraine and
Belarus:

- students after 3rd academic year in humanistic studies

- PhD students – experts on cultural studies, culture and management, art history

- culture managers, artists, museum curators



Formal criteria

We are looking for active, open-minded and creative people. The working language of
the School is Polish (primarily) and English (supplementary).

- citizenship and residence in Ukraine or Belarus

- academic degree or completion of minimum three years of university studies

- submission of an application form and a cover letter (in Polish or English)



Costs

The organizers provide:

- travel costs (train, bus)

- accommodation and board

- study visits and accompanying events



Deadline for submitting applications is 3 September 2007.
